So, on a day where the weather was very changeable we took the dogs for a walk around the Schwarzsee in Davos.
Guinness had only swam properly for the first time two weeks before so this was a great opportunity for him to get some more practice in.
Brock on the other hand is a master of the doggy paddle and loves nothing more than swimming after a stick.
Sticks however can cause dogs problems, so thanks to my mum and sister the dogs had a new toy to play with, the Safe Stix. This made swimming apparently a lot more fun that normal, and was great for playing fetch with on the grass. We have the 70cm stix and the dogs can play with this together as well.
In the water the stix was great and Guinness started to get to grips with the whole swimming thing… although as much as he loves paddling as soon as his feet cant touch the floor he still gets a little spooked…. but he’s getting there…
and really needs to learn how to get the stix with his mouth (at the moment he keeps trying first with his paws which just sends it under the water).
The walk was good, they boys had fun and for a new toy, the safe stix gets 10/10.
