Four Seasons Canary Wharf London

So, I was in London on business and was staying in the Four Seasons at Canary Wharf. Having got the tube from Chiswck and then walked from Canary Wharf tube to the hotel I was hot and bothered when I got there (it was a warm day and I had my coat on). When I got to the hotel the doorman immediately took my bags off me and the concierge got me a complimentary bottle of water – great start.

Even though I was checking in at 09:00am I thought I’d give it a try and see if my room was available, and to my joy it was. My room was on the 8th floor of the hotel looking onto the city rather than the river (river views are more expensive). The room was large with a king size bed, a desk and a chair with footstool so plenty of room. The bathroom had both a bath (with shower) and a walk in shower, the complimentary toiletries were really nice and the little touches like cotton buds really made a difference.

The stay was great, however it wasn’t value for money.

I had to pay extra for wireless, which when on business is something that should be included or offered for free.

Breakfast was £30, no idea on the quality I went for porridge from a shop on the way to the office.

Italian Restaurant – the hotel has a lovely restaurant, but the food was expensive (although very good), if you want Italian I’d head onto the riverside to Zizzi (5 minutes walk). Much better choice and to be honest better food and definitely better value.

Top Tip: Use of the Virgin Active is free, including Swimming pool if you ask at the concierge.
