So I’ve been brave, I’ve booked my first holiday as a Solo traveller. There are some places I have been wanting to go and see and experiences I want to do, now admittedly Morocco wasn’t top of my list but I’ve always fancied seeing North Africa especially the Sahara.
I need to be honest now.. I’m not really travelling alone, I’m going as part of a group, but a group of people I don’t know.
Why did I pick Morocco – it was simple – that was the trip available for the dates I wanted at a price I wanted to pay. I had decided to Travel with Exodus Travel and am travelling on the Marrakech and Sahara Trip, the best thing about booking with exodus is they will tell you the make up of the group already booked so far, there seemed to be a good variety of people booked so far so I booked the trip. Have to say, I’m really looking forward to the Camel Trek 🙂
The week I’m booked on is made up specifically of Solo travelers and this is something I deliberately went for, mainly as I don’t have to break into peoples groups we’ll all be in the same boat so hopefully making friends will be easier 🙂

Now, whilst still feeling scary I’m really looking forward to it, exodus has a community forum where you can chat to people on your trip before you – this help break the ice before you meet either on the group flight on in the hotel.
Next step… what to pack for a trip that takes in the Sahara and the Atlas mountains….
