Well, Morzine….. wasn’t what I was expecting…. Beautiful town, bigger than I was imaging (I was picturing somewhere more like Les Gets), a lot busy then I thought it would be and so full of English speaking tourists I was surprised…
Hotel – we stayed at l’igloo – good hotel, great location, reasonable price, good breakfast (although only a small choice). Website said free wifi was available in the hotel, what it didnt’ say was that was pretty much only available in the lobby, in the Summer the hotel had no real restaurant or bar (don’t know if this is different in the Winter) cost was €250 for 3 nights for 2 people (and two dogs).
Eating out – expensive! in all the meals we had I only thought two of these was worth the price we paid for them, one in the hotel at the bottom of the Le Pleney – Le Tremplin and one in Les Gets (the name of which escapes me).
