I’m a big kid, so I decided to go to EuroDisney with three friends. Living in Zurich the easiest way to Disney was on the train – theres a TGV/EuroStar terminal at the park. The trick with the TGV is to book well in advance (you can book tickets three months in advance) the journey to the Park then cost around 100 CHF return 🙂 . After leaving Zurich at 08:30 we got to Disney Village at 14:30, from the station we got straight onto the Hotel bus to the Hotel Santa Fe, the cheapest of the onsite disney hotels. The bus took about 4 mins but the walk takes around 15 mins from the park to the hotel so that was the last time we were getting the bus 🙂
The Santa Fe was clean and the rooms were a generous size, the biggest issue in the room was the quality of the showers – they had little pressure and the temperature fluctuated dramatically from scolding hot to freezing cold without the tap being touched – but this way my only complaint. The bar at the hotel served a range of drinks and cocktails as well as snacks and was priced the same as the park, the bar also served snacks but we ate in the village every night so didn’t experience it.
Staying at a Disney Hotel meant that we got two hours in the main park before it opened to other guests, there is only a limited amount open before 10am and the only ride which interested us was Space Mountain – which is an awesome ride 🙂
The parks have something for everyone – The Studios has the better rollercoasters (Rock and Roll Coaster & Crushes Coaster) which are just awesome, in the park the best ride has to be space mountain.
Theres food of all sorts available in the parks and in the village, from Planet Hollywood to Steak in the village and a range of different options in the parks to suit all budgets and tastes. The best meal we had however was at the Steak House in the village.
